Portafrutta

Industreal is an online store for international product designers. The work is mostly by European and American producers, brought together by the lose objective of 'Relevance and Meaning'.
Servagon, Ginkgo by Christopher Combes.
Laser cut technology was used to etch onto wood and create this serving tray, with geometric cutouts.
The immediate appeal of the Servagon products lie in their appropriation of simple organic forms and elegant decorative elements.

This cherry wood tray -Portafrutta- is composed of 35 individual forms created by laser cut technology by Doodle design. You can see thumbnails of their design process on the site.  The angular forms create an organic ripple; almost rhythmic.
